Sleep deprivation can lead to obesity - sleep-deprived brains crave food they do not need. A study published in February 2016 in the journal SLEEP suggests that the brain receptors that lead the sleep-deprived brain to cravings were the same as those activated by marijuana - both causing the munchies!
